The Chitwan bag has plenty of space and can e.g. hold a small book, hand sanitizer, a glasses case or the like.

The bag closes both with a zip at the top and a flap with a magnet on the front. Inside there is a large compartment and two smaller compartments - one with a zip. In addition, there is also a compartment on the back of the bag (toward the body) that can be accessed from the outside.

The bag comes with a wide removable and adjustable strap.

Leather & care

The leather: This product is sewn in leather that is free of chrome, heavy metals, formaldehyde, chlorinated paraffins and azo dyes.
Care: The wallet can be used as it is. This will give a quicker patina.
If you instead wish to protect the wallet against dirt, liquids and stains, it is a good idea to impregnate (spray) it before use. Though, the patina can not be avoided throughout the years - this is the charm of leather and makes your wallet unique.
NOTE: Impregnation can give the leather a different feel. Always test on the back first.
Patina: The brown leather will patina and become darker and less "perfect" in appearance over time. The black leather will also patina, but retain its color.
The patina comes automatically with use, rain, sunscreen and whatever else a bag is exposed to.

The bag has good roominess and is therefore perfect for those who want a little extra space in the bag, e.g. a small book, hand sanitizer, a glasses case or the like.

In the large inner compartment, there are two further smaller pockets, one of which has a zip. The leather on the Chitwan bag

The bag appears uniform and light brown from new. When it is put into use and gets grease, rain, dirt, etc., it will continuously acquire a beautiful patina in a darker shade. It gives the bag a more "living" and completely unique look.

Chitwan crossover bag in leather - about the name

This beautiful bag is named after the Chitwan National Park located in southern Nepal. The national park was the first protected area in Nepal, and is particularly known for its one-horned rhinoceros (Indian rhinoceros), Bengal tigers and, not least, gavial crocodiles.
In 2012 I visited the national park and went on a trip to the jungle to see the animals. I did not expect to see the rhinos up close. But I did! And it was a fantastic experience to see the rare, wild animals in their own environment. No zoo can live up to that!

On the crocodiles' home ground

After the tour in the jungle, we went down to the river to see the crocodiles. In the past, crocodiles have failed to raise my heart rate, as they usually just lie completely still behind high walls or glass facades - but it was different here. We were placed in a traditional boat - a hollowed-out, horizontal log with approximately 10cm from the rail to the water's edge - then calmly pushed into the crocodile-infested river. They lay both in the water and along the water's edge - and occasionally they slipped down or out of the water. I was torn, as on the one hand I think it was wildly exciting and on the other hand I felt it was a deeply irresponsible excursion.
Fortunately, everyone made it ashore safely.
Although it has been many years since I was in Nepal, I think the name fits this bag perfectly - of course because of the crocodile print on the front of the bag.
